Renting trucks

Types of trucks
A truck (in English) is a device that consists of a chassis and a tractor (engine). For trucks, depending on what type of equipment or other accessories are connected to the chassis, a different name is chosen. Various equipment can be installed on the chassis of this device, which include:
  • Truck Mixer
  • Cargo room
  • crane
  • insole
  • concrete pump
  • Tanker carrying liquids
  • sprinkler
  • bitumen sprayer
  • Material handling dumper

Uses of trucks: Trucks are considered as machines for transporting soil and materials. This device can be used in the following cases:

Carrying earth materials and stone pieces in all environmental conditions
Use in heavy earth operations such as dam construction, tunnel construction, mines, etc
Dumping soil in the form of a depot along a path

    Classification of types of trucks:
There are various criteria for classifying trucks. The criteria that are usually used to classify trucks are:
    • activity range
    • The type of fuel used by the truck
    • How to unload materials
    • The number of axes
    • The number of differentials
    • Truck engine size and type
    • Truck load carrying capacity
    • Based on truck usage

    activity range:
In terms of the range of activities, trucks are classified into the following two groups:
    • On-road trucks (normal)
    • Off-road trucks (non-road trucks or dump trucks)

    A: Highway trucks:
These trucks are suitable for transporting cargo on roads. One of the prominent features of these types of trucks is their high flexibility. Another feature of these trucks is their high maneuverability.

This truck must comply with the following traffic regulations due to moving on the road:

    • Width less than 2/6
    • Height less than 4.5 meters
    • The maximum length of the two-axle truck is 10 meters.
    • The maximum length of the three-axle truck is 12 meters.

The speed of these trucks is generally high and reaches up to 70 kilometers per hour when empty. The amount of virtual load that trucks can carry can be different depending on the type of materials they carry. But in order to prevent damage to the road, a maximum of 18 tons can be loaded on each axle. The cargo room capacity is 15 cubic meters when full and 20 cubic meters when stacked. These trucks have a power of up to 420 horsepower (four-axle type).

    B: off-highway trucks:
These trucks have larger dimensions and more power due to the lack of traffic restrictions that exist for road trucks. These trucks are also called dump trucks. This machine is used to transport soil and stone. Also, these types of trucks are designed to carry soil on rough, uneven ground and outside the asphalt environment. The engine power of dump trucks is 350 to 3227 horsepower. The speed of dump trucks is 45 to 70 kilometers per hour and they have less maneuverability than road trucks. The large and huge type of these trucks are used in heavy construction projects.

    Projects such as:

    • Construction of dams
    • Breakwaters
    • High volume earthworks
    • Mining operations

The room volume of these trucks is 15 to 173 cubic meters when full and 20 to 220 cubic meters when stacked.

Classification according to the method of unloading materials:
Material unloading in trucks is done according to the following three methods:

Unloading materials from the back of the truck
Unloading materials from the side of the truck
Unloading materials from under the truck
Depending on the conditions in various projects, any of the aforementioned trucks can be used to unload materials.

Trucks are divided into the following categories based on their use:
    1- Truck with room
The term truck with a room means a truck whose maximum height of the resistant wall of the load room is one and a half meters. That is, the wall of the room installed in the load area from the floor to the ceiling of the room is less than one and a half meters

    2- Edged truck
This truck, like the truck with a room, has a limit on the height of its wall. The maximum height of the resistant wall of the cargo room of the edged truck is 80 cm. So, in terms of height, it is about half the height of the room truck.

    3- Blade truck
Trucks whose cargo room is divided into two equal parts by a blade or wall are called bladed trucks. These two parts of the room help to separate the loads that are transported and the driver can easily load from two different places.

    4- Floor truck
Trucks whose room is free of walls or sometimes does not have a cargo room are called floor trucks. Floor trucks are used to transport heavy vehicles, large machines of various industries.

    5- Roofed truck
The cargo room of some trucks has a roof. These trucks are used to transport loads that require more care. This category is called a roofed truck. The term roofed truck is also used for this type of truck.

    6- Refrigerated truck
Some foods need to be cold or frozen during transportation. This category of food should be transported by refrigerated vehicles. For this reason and to facilitate the movement of this type of food, trucks equipped with refrigerators are designed and produced.

    7- Tanker
Tankers are a group of trucks that are equipped with a tank to carry liquids. These trucks are widely used in transporting oil and water.

    8- Bunker
The difference between bunkers and tankers is in the type of cargo they carry. Bunkers also have a tank, but this tank is used to transport malleable solids such as cement.

    9- mixer truck
These types of trucks are also tank holders like tankers and bunkers, but this tank is used for mixing (mixing) all kinds of materials with circulation and circular movements. Of course, mixer trucks are used in most cases to mix concrete ingredients, and because they do not dry, the mixing operation continues along the way.

    10- Dump truck
Some trucks with a room are equipped with a compressor. This compressor helps the truck to empty its load. This is called a dump truck. These trucks are used for easier unloading of construction materials and similar loads.

    11- Small truck
The trucks themselves are divided into two categories: 1- Cargo van: it is a cargo motor vehicle that has the driver's room and the cargo room as two separate compartments on the same chassis. The total weight and carrying capacity of the cargo van is from 3.5 tons to less than 5 tons. 2- Lori: The difference between a lorry and a cargo van is the amount of cargo. Lorries can carry loads from 5 tons to less than 6 tons.

    12- Backbreaker
This type of truck pulls trailers or semi-trailers. Trucks are used to transport all kinds of floors, sheds, containers, etc.
